Intake Customer Service Representative

Due to our current Intake CSR being promoted to Office Manager, Care IV Home Health is now hiring for the position of Intake Customer Service Representative at our Little Rock, Arkansas Corporate HQ! Our Intake CSR's main responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service while processing new patient referrals into our care. Care IV offers home health services provided under Medicare, Medicaid, private pay and most commercial insurances. Home Health services may include: skilled nursing visits, private duty, CNA / personal care intermittent visits, therapy (occupational, speech & physical), and social worker services.

Our Intake Department reports to our VP & General Manager, and this position works under the general guidance of our Intake RN. Pay depends on experience. Rotating, paid on call is required.

Duties & Responsibilities may include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Taking a high volume of calls from internal staff, Case Manager, Discharge Planners, Doctors, patients, families, clinics, hospitals, and other patient referral sources
  • Maintain a solid working knowledge of Care IV's home health services in order to effectively communicate this information to internal staff, patients, families & all referral sources
  • Accurately key patient information into the computer system in a timely manner
  • Coordinate patient care services with our care team, patients & referral sources
  • Ensure a smooth transition into our care so our patients & referral sources experience positive outcomes & a high level of satisfaction with Care IV's services
  • Faxes, files, scans, emails documents and correspondence as needed
  • Places calls to follow up with patients and field staff in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Required experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of office experience specifically in the healthcare industry is required
  • Previous patient intake experience and home health office experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent computer skills are critical to this position
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Highly organized with excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Reliable with consistent attendance
  • Ability and willingness to participate in rotating on-call
